About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Safety Advisor to join our team at AU047 JLT Risk Solutions PTY LTD. As a Risk and Safety Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and guidance to our clients in the Local Government sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our team and clients to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Develop and implement effective risk management strategies, including the development of policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Provide expert advice on Work Health and Safety (WHS) and risk management principles and practices.
- Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for remediation.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Requirements:
- Sound knowledge of South Australian Work Health & Safety legislation, principles, and practices.
- Proven risk management expertise and experience.
- Knowledge of ISO 31000 and the Performance Standards for Self-Insurers (PSSI).
- Relevant auditing qualification or experience.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- A current SA driver's license.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Local Government Act 1999 and other relevant Acts.
- Understanding of law as it relates to civil liabilities, contracting, common law, etc.
- Knowledge of the risks within Local Government and the range of occupations/tasks/jobs within the sector.
