About the Role

The Lotus People team is seeking a proactive and hands-on Safety Specialist who thrives in a collaborative environment. Reporting to the Head of People, this role is focused on developing and implementing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing the return-to-work process. You'll play a critical part in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing incident investigations, and driving continuous improvement in workplace health and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create, update, and promote health and safety policies aligned with regulatory standards.
  2. Conduct Workplace Inspections: Regularly inspect workplaces and collaborate with teams to address any issues.
  3. Manage Return-to-Work Programs: Support employees through their recovery and reintegration.
  4. Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify and mitigate hazards to minimize risks.
  5. Lead Incident Investigations: Investigate workplace incidents and near misses to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
  6. Develop Safety Training Programs: Create engaging safety training programs to ensure all employees are informed and up-to-date on safety protocols.
