Job Overview

A leading construction company, Buildability Group, is seeking a proactive Safety Advisor to join their team on a new build construction project. They are known for their commitment to safety, quality, and innovation across a range of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inductions and ensure all personnel are aware of the safety protocols.
  • Review and monitor contractors' Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Oversee general site safety, including the implementation of control measures to mitigate risks.
  • Lead site safety meetings to discuss safety concerns and best practices.
  • Analyze site practices and implement improved safety protocols to reduce workplace risks.
  • Report and investigate incidents, injuries, and hazards, and implement agreed control measures to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Help promote Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) awareness on site and ensure compliance with all Site Management Plans.
  • Maintain all WHS records for the project, including incident reports and safety audits.
  • Work with contractors and site teams to eliminate and reduce workplace risks, and ensure a safe working environment.

Key Requirements

  • Cert IV in Work Health and Safety is essential for this role.
  • A sound understanding of WHS legislation and regulations is required.
  • Previous experience in a Safety Advisor role on construction projects is necessary.
