About this Role

This position is for a qualified and enthusiastic electrical technician to work in our team.

  • The successful applicant must hold a recognized trade certificate.

Our team is a small group based on site at Wambo Wind Farm. The technicians report to the site supervisor and are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the wind turbines in accordance with the contract.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out scheduled service and reactive maintenance as required
  • Respond and attend site outside normal working hours to undertake reactive maintenance on a rostered basis
  • Maintain all company vehicles and equipment in good condition
  • Undertake operations and maintenance within training limits, including operation of HV and LV
  • Ensure each task is undertaken safely and effectively, protecting personnel, the environment and adhering to work methods
  • Complete site induction
  • Meet requirements of the SMA (Service Maintenance Agreement)
  • Comply with OH&S legislation duty of care and demonstrate commitment to accident prevention
  • Observe work instructions, procedures, safety codes of practice, employer OH&S and Environmental requirements and statutory rules and regulations
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required
  • Participate in safety meetings where necessary
  • Perform other duties within competence and qualifications as directed
