Electrical Service Technician

About this role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as an electrical service technician. The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking scheduled service and reactive maintenance on wind turbines, working in a small team environment.

The department operates based on site at Wambo Wind Farm. Technicians report to the site supervisor and are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of wind turbines in accordance with the contract. Support is provided by an administrator and a planner, with KPIs set by the Area Service Manager.

  • Maintenance activities include undertaking scheduled service and reactive maintenance as required.
  • The successful applicant must respond to site outside normal hours for reactive maintenance on a rostered basis.
  • All company vehicles and equipment must be maintained in good condition.
  • The technician will perform operations and maintenance within training and authorization limits, including HV and LV operation.
  • Safety of personnel, environmental protection, and adherence to work methods are essential requirements.
  • A-Grade Electrical License and Full driver's license are mandatory qualifications.
  • Literate with PC and modern technologies supporting daily work.

Key Competencies:

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of PLC and/or SCADA systems, motivated to learn new skills in a growing industry, understanding safety principles, and committed to safety compliance.
