Electrical Service Technician

Vestas has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic electrical technician to join our service team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of wind turbines in accordance with the contract.

Job Description

The role involves undertaking scheduled service and reactive maintenance on as required basis, responding and attending site outside normal working hours to undertake reactive maintenance on a rostered basis, maintaining all company vehicles and plant and equipment in good clean condition, undertaking operations and maintenance within the limits of training and authorisation including operation of HV and LV, ensuring that each task is undertaken in a manner that ensures the safety of personnel, protects the environment and work methods are followed at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A-Grade Electrical License
  • Literacy with PC & modern technologies to support your day-to-day work
  • Ability to read/interpret technical drawings to support fault-finding and/or maintenance activities
  • Any knowledge of PLC and/or SCADA systems
  • Motivation to learn new skills and thrive in a growing industry
  • Understanding of safety principles, willing to adhere to and drive safety compliance company-wide
  • Experience with HV/LV, hydraulics, and mechanical systems in a residential, commercial, and/or industrial environment
  • Proficient in the use of various hand tools
  • Strong communicational skills, ability to work in a small team
  • Ability to work at heights in confined environments
