Software Growth Director

The role of a Software Growth Director involves overseeing the overall growth strategy for software in the Federal Government sector of Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and execute account strategies for Federal Government clients in Australia.
  • Manage a portfolio of Federal accounts, ensuring attainment of revenue and associated targets.
  • Drive growth through upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts, while winning new logos in the Federal market.
  • Identify and qualify product and solution leads, ensuring alignment with Federal Government priorities.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with senior stakeholders across government departments and agencies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Federal clients, demonstrating an understanding of government procurement processes and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver value-based outcomes and enhance customer success.
  • Effectively communicate and present to key decision-makers, including C-level executives.
  • Stay current with industry and public sector trends to position competitively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • 7–12 years of proven experience managing Federal or Public Sector accounts with strong success in enterprise software sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business in the Federal Government segment, with knowledge of Australian Federal procurement frameworks.
  • Strong consultative sales approach and ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue and growth targets.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on results, integrity, and client satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple opportunities with sharp attention to detail.
