Associate Director, Digital Delivery


About the Role:

This senior leadership position plays a crucial part in shaping our digital capabilities. The Associate Director, Digital Delivery will lead and manage a portfolio of teams delivering core functional capabilities that support our goals.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage a portfolio of teams delivering core functional capabilities that support our goals with a strong focus on workforce planning, talent acquisition, development, and retention.
  2. Establish and oversee initiatives to ensure we have access to contemporary skills and thought leadership, working closely with colleagues to foster a high-performance culture and develop consistent practices, frameworks, and artefacts.
  3. Develop and mature processes for digital activities across the organisation, including prioritisation frameworks and governance structures that enable effective decision-making and value delivery.
  4. Champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, creating opportunities for staff learning and development, and embedding agile, growth-oriented mindsets across teams.
  5. Provide strategic leadership in commercial and financial management, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and procedures.

Requirements:
  1. A strategic and values-driven leader with extensive leadership experience in complex environments, with a strong track record in team building, coaching, and fostering high-performing, psychologically safe teams.
  2. Proven expertise in managing significant human, financial, and material resources, supported by relevant postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience.
  3. Strong project and operational management capabilities, with a deep understanding of IT systems and service delivery in large organisations.
  4. Excellent people management and communication skills, with the ability to lead through change, resolve complex issues, and inspire confidence during periods of transformation.
  5. A collaborative and analytical mindset, with demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and building trusted networks across and beyond the organisation.
