Job Description

The Role: Strategic Quarry Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled quarry planner to oversee the tactical planning and oversight of quarry operations.

This strategic role focuses on commercially efficient extraction of resources, with considerable coordination and forward planning across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage short-term and long-term quarry reserve planning to meet production targets.
  • Oversee geological assessments and work with consultants to identify areas for extraction.
  • Design and implement quarry layouts and resource extraction plans.
  • Coordinate with environmental and compliance teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and submit required approvals, reports, permits, and documentation.
  • Work effectively with site managers to plan project approvals and budget constraints.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Minimum 7 years in quarry or mining operations, with at least 5 years in a management role.
  • Strong understanding of quarry reserves planning, environmental management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale, multi-site operations and leading teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of quarry and mining planning legislation and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong strategic project management and planning skills.
