Financial Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of the annual revenue and expense budget.
- Contribute to the department's financial and administrative activities to ensure that annual revenue budgets are surpassed.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit relevant administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner, such as sales call schedules, sales call reports, and monthly reports to the Director of Sales.
- Participate in preparing sales action plans, attend sales meetings, and develop new ideas such as special packages, programs, and promotional activities undertaken by the sales department, food and beverage, spa, and other hotel revenue centers.
- Work closely with the sales team in the preparation of personal sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis and complete a report and analysis at the end of each month.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Respond to all inquiries within 24 hours.
- Set up appointments and make personal sales calls, telemarketing, and site inspections to all existing and potential accounts.
- Negotiate with all customers and send out offers/contracts regarding individual and group business.
- Be aware of all market trends and share them with the team so that a collective action can be implemented.
- Consistently interact with key clients focusing on high-profile guests.
- Maintain an efficient customer database system (OPERA), which is essential in generating sales activities reports.
- Update customers with the latest developments in the hotel and inform hotel management of all changes in the customer profile.
- Seek out and target new customers, new sales opportunities, and initiate an action plan to secure new business for the hotel.
- Come prepared for weekly Sales and Revenue meetings.
- Keep the Director of Sales and Director of Sales and Marketing promptly and fully informed of all problems or concerns so that corrective action can be taken on time.
- Adhere to the department and hotel's standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure strict confidentiality of information in the department and hotel.
- Carry out duties, projects, and other assignments as required by the Director of Sales.
