Assistant Director of Sales

About the Role

The Sofitel Brisbane Central is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Sales to support the Director of Sales and Marketing in achieving the hotel's sales and revenue objectives. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for managing key accounts, developing sales strategies, and working collaboratively with the sales team to increase market share.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business objectives
  • Manage key accounts and build long-term client relationships to drive sales growth
  • Lead and coach the sales team to ensure they meet individual and team targets
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Events, Operations, and Revenue Management teams to align sales efforts with overall business goals
  • Prepare sales reports and provide insights to senior management to inform revenue growth strategies
  • Represent the hotel at industry events and networking functions to promote the property and generate leads

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial role
  • Proficiency in hotel management and CRM software
  • Strong knowledge of sales techniques, market analysis, and customer relationship management
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on achieving results
