Director of Sales

At The Star Entertainment Group, we're seeking a seasoned leader to drive our sales strategy and lead our commercial team to success. As Director of Sales, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing innovative sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, and nurturing key client relationships across our Gold Coast property.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and own the group's commercial strategy and planning for Hotel & Events Sales
  • Drive trade performance to achieve revenue & yield targets
  • Acquire new customers and manage key client relationships (new and existing)
  • Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (marketing, sales, property hotel & events teams)
  • Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management
  • Successfully lead a large sales team
Requirements:
  • Proven track record in implementing strategic plans within a dynamic commercial lens
  • Expertise in establishing and nurturing strong & profitable partnerships with key clients
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and lead a high-performance culture
  • Embrace a 'can-do' attitude, showcasing your ability to navigate successfully towards goals
  • Highly skilled in influencing multiple key stakeholders to achieve robust commercial outcomes

As a seasoned leader with a wealth of experience in the Hotels industry, you'll be instrumental in developing and executing strategic sales plans. Your pivotal role will significantly contribute to shaping the success of our sales and development function at The Star.
