Enhancing Indigenous Workforce Engagement

Role Overview

The identified position requires an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individual to contribute to the Culture and Capability team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice on attracting and retaining Indigenous employees, developing proposals for new initiatives and overseeing their implementation.
  • Contributing to policy and procedure development to ensure Indigenous perspectives are considered.
  • Promoting Legal Aid Queensland as a preferred employer of choice for Indigenous people, including attending events and creating promotional materials.
  • Participating in strategic and operational planning to enhance Indigenous employment strategies.

Contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures that reflect Indigenous perspectives and promote cultural awareness within the organization.
