Job Title: Indigenous Relations Specialist

Job Description: As an Indigenous Relations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in fostering collaborative relationships with First Nations people and stakeholders. Your focus will be on ensuring the health and prosperity of our diverse natural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage grant contracts with First Nations organisations to maintain accountability and administrative systems.
  • Support and coordinate the program team in implementing strategic plans and associated projects.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with First Nations people, government departments, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of policy, legislation, and frameworks related to First Nations people.
  • Contract management skills with a focus on accountability and administrative systems.
  • Analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to review and synthesise information from multiple sources.
