Procurement Specialist

This is a key role within our organization responsible for building and maintaining strong alliances with strategic suppliers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking an experienced professional to manage contract performance, drive supply chain synergies and conduct internal audit programs to identify cost savings opportunities.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent relationship management skills, be able to source new partners and manage existing strategic supply partners.
  • Key responsibilities include developing business cases and sourcing strategies, making recommendations to the Operations team on cost saving areas and assisting in implementation.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing end-to-end cost saving initiatives from procurement to payment, regularly reviewing all categories and identifying opportunities through market insights and best practices.
  • An additional responsibility will be to assist the Senior Manager Contracts in maintaining supplier master contract files and contract registers, while negotiating best value and delivering improved outcomes.
  • Authorization of invoice payments for non-standard product purchases in conjunction with the GM Procurement & Supply Chain is also required.
  • The position also involves identifying opportunities to bring new and/or improved products and services to designated categories, planning delivery timetables and liaising with suppliers to ensure orders and delivery times are met.
  • Problem solving and issue resolution are also critical aspects of this role.
