Procurement Strategist Role

This strategic procurement role drives cost-saving measures and profitability.

A leading culinary expert prioritizes sustainable sourcing and ethical practices, ensuring the utmost quality and freshness in every product.

As a Procurement Strategist, you will develop and execute strategic sourcing methodologies, lead market tests, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with procurement policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing methodologies to achieve cost savings across various procurement categories.
  • Lead the preparation and evaluation of RFTs, RFQs, EOIs, and market scans to secure value-for-money solutions.
  • Implement a fit-for-purpose procurement policy tailored to the business needs.
  • Manage the purchase order process and framework to ensure compliance with procurement requirements.
  • Analyze procurement data and produce reports to support business decision-making.
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers to optimize pricing, quality, and service expectations.
  • Plan and negotiate the commercial aspects of contracts to deliver business results and savings.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine business needs and contracting frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years' procurement experience, preferably in FMCG.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or contract management and commercial management.
  • Strong knowledge of contracts and procurement, with effective negotiation and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
