We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor to join our team in the concrete and aggregates laboratory. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who can oversee the smooth operation of the lab, supervise laboratory technicians, and lead a team.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversight of laboratory technicians working at the Port Melbourne lab.
- Ensuring the lab is operated safely, efficiently, and complies with all specified testing requirements.
- Calibration of laboratory equipment and maintenance of records.
- Leading by example, communicating expectations for safety and sustainability amongst the broader team at any worksite.
- Ensuring compliance of the laboratory to NATA requirements.
- Qualifying and training laboratory technicians, maintaining accurate training records.
- Scheduling and allocation of internal and external testing companies for project conformance.
- Internal and external site visits to ensure quality assurance of customers.
- Collaboration with Technical Supervisors on customer-related tasks.
- 5 years' experience in construction materials testing – concrete and aggregates.
- Certificate III in Lab Operations or prior NATA signatory from an approved NATA laboratory.
- Strong analytical skills to present complex data as actionable management information.
- Effective people management experience.
- Collaborative, innovative, well-organized, and self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills to interface between operations and sales/marketing.
