This permanent full-time position offers a rewarding career opportunity for a motivated professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality service delivery to children, families, and other stakeholders in the counselling programs.

Job Overview

The successful applicant will provide effective leadership, management, and support in the development and implementation of high-quality service delivery. Key duties will include using models of practice, guidelines, and frameworks to assist clients in achieving their goals, providing guidance to staff on therapeutic engagement with clients, and overseeing the preparation of goal-focussed intervention and support plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of counsellors to deliver high-quality service delivery
  • Develop and implement individualised and/or family intervention plans
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on therapeutic engagement with clients
  • Oversee the preparation of goal-focussed intervention and support plans
  • Motivate and mentor staff to build an effective team culture
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Social Work, Behavioural Sciences, Psychology or related discipline and significant relevant experience
  • Sound understanding of and experience implementing counselling interventions with children and young people, including those that have experienced child abuse and neglect as well as adults and families
  • Demonstrated experience in motivating and mentoring staff and building an effective team culture
  • A positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and the ability to obtain any other legislatively required personal history screening as required
