About this Role
Mercy Community Services invites applications for a Counselling Team Leader position, offering a rewarding opportunity to lead and develop high-quality service delivery in counselling programs.
As a key member of our Ipswich office team, you will be responsible for providing effective leadership, management, and support in the development and implementation of service delivery to children, families, and other stakeholders.
The successful applicant will possess a strong understanding of counselling interventions, including those with children and young people who have experienced child abuse and neglect. A tertiary qualification in Counselling, Social Work, Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, or a related discipline is essential, along with significant relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualised and/or family intervention plans
- Motivate and mentor staff, building an effective team culture
- Collaborate with the Senior Program Manager to identify and implement opportunities for staff and program development
About You
We are seeking an experienced professional with a positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and the ability to obtain any legislatively required personal history screening as needed.

This role offers a salary package of $106,388 - $111,091 (SCHADS L6) plus superannuation and access to generous salary packaging.
