Facilities Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to work as a facilities support specialist to support our day-to-day operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals who share your passion for making a difference in the lives of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building Compliance and Maintenance:
    • Maintain building compliance requirements with the assistance of the facility engineer.
    • Carry out minor repairs, maintenance, and cleaning tasks where possible.
    • Coordinate contractors who carry out maintenance of building infrastructure, plant, and systems.
  • Building Management System (BMS):
    • Maintain internal environmental conditions within agreed comfort levels.
    • Liaise with BMS and mechanical contractors to resolve any issues affecting the operation of the building management system.
  • Cleaning and Landscaping:
    • Coordinate contractor cleaning activities relating to building facades and external areas.
    • Coordinate landscaping contractors who maintain soft landscaping elements within the property boundary.
  • Pest Control and Communication:
    • Coordinate routine pest control management.
    • Keep workers informed about activities that may cause disruptions.
  • Contract Management and Backup Coverage:
    • Evaluate contractor performance and adherence to quotes and contracts.
    • Support the building facilities team during leave periods or absences.
    • Oversee the receiving and dispatching of deliveries.
