Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a dedicated and experienced freight coordinator to play a vital role in planning and scheduling daily transport operations, coordinating bookings and freight movements, and ensuring efficient on-time deliveries across the region.

About this Role:

  • Plan and schedule daily freight loads for optimal efficiency
  • Coordinate bookings, consignment notes, manifests, and freight movements with transport providers, internal teams, and the yard to ensure timely deliveries
  • Investigate and resolve freight discrepancies, ensuring compliance with safety and quality procedures while meeting customer KPIs
  • Schedule and finalize booking time slots for deliveries and collections
  • Ensure trips are planned efficiently and completed within required cut-off times
  • Maintain bookings inbox and complete driver daily run sheets
  • Work alongside Transport Supervisor to ensure drivers and runs are covered

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar position (transport and logistics experience is desirable)
  • Knowledge of TMS systems
  • Strong understanding of the Metro area
  • Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
