Freight Coordinator

As a leading logistics partner, we are seeking an experienced Freight Coordinator to join our team.

About the Role:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations.
  • Ensure seamless service delivery by communicating effectively with internal stakeholders and exceptions to customers.
  • Liaise with third-party transport providers and internal departments regarding freight coordination.
  • Investigate and resolve non-conformance reports in accordance with agreed procedures and timelines.
  • Assist in locating and preparing freight according to customer specifications to ensure timely delivery.
  • Liaise with operations teams to ensure 'must travel' freight is prioritized.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve customer KPIs and deliver set targets.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the logistics or supply chain industry with mining exposure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems and address potential service issues.
  • Willingsness to learn and progress in a fast-paced environment.
