About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Client Service Officer to join our Estate Management team at the NSW Department of Communities and Justice. As a Client Service Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting customers with complex needs, providing exceptional customer service, and making important decisions to manage their finances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategies and make substitute decisions to manage customer finances
  • Communicate and engage with customers to understand their financial needs and existing arrangements
  • Build rapport and consult with customers to understand their aspirations
  • Complete third-party payments on behalf of our customers
  • Work closely with other divisions and external stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes for our customers
Requirements
  • Understanding of the NSW Department of Communities and Justice's key services and customer base
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent industry or professional experience in a relevant area
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively with customers with a range of circumstances, including those experiencing homelessness, substance misuse, chronic mental illness, and contact with the criminal justice system
