Role Overview

This role is part of a collaborative and inclusive team, responsible for developing and implementing creative marketing initiatives to enhance community access and participation in library services.

The successful candidate will assist in designing and delivering innovative marketing campaigns, social media strategies, and multi-media content across various platforms.

You will also be responsible for supporting community engagement in emerging technologies and ensuring accurate and current information across the website, app, catalogue, self-service kiosks, and Library Access Points.

This is a part-time fixed-term position based on a 14-hour week, with primary duties at the Melton Library and Learning Hub.

Key Responsibilities
  • Social Media Strategy Development: Assist in creating and implementing engaging social media content to promote library services and events.
  • Marketing Materials Creation: Design and produce high-quality marketing materials, including brochures, posters, and flyers, to promote library programs and services.
  • Community Outreach: Develop and implement effective outreach strategies to engage with diverse community groups and promote library services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary qualification acceptable for professional membership (librarian) of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA), or relevant tertiary qualification in information technology or marketing field.
  • Multimedia Experience: Sound experience in developing and implementing creative multimedia initiatives in a library or cultural context.
