GRAY-NICOLLS Sports Pty Ltd is the official distributor of YONEX Badminton & Tennis in Australia & New Zealand. We are currently experiencing a significant phase of growth and are seeking to further strengthen our reputation of providing outstanding service to the retail sector and as a result an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Creative Marketing & Communication Manager to become part of this dynamic and successful team.

THE POSITION

We are seeking a passionate person with a creative mindset, drive, strategic aptitude and ability for delivering engaging customer experiences in both Badminton and Tennis to assist our YONEX Brand Managers and team. This is a full time role located at our head office in Cheltenham, VIC. This role is office-based but we are willing to be flexible for the right candidate.

As a Creative Marketing & Communication Manager, you will be responsible for shaping the creative direction of all Yonex digital and visual marketing content within the AUS/NZ region. Your role will also involve managing marketing side of events and work with stakeholders all to deliver our strategic plan for Brand Communication as well as maintaining our brand equity.

This is a unique role that requires you to be flexible with your time and enjoy getting involved with our business partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:

• Designing, creating and preparing digital assets for web, social media, EDM, product launches and announcements
• Managing end-to-end design workflow, from concept development to final delivery
• Setting the visual tone and creative direction ensuring consistency and brand guidelines
• Managing creative execution for event, tournaments and retailer's display
• Leading the YONEX Marketing Team
• Delegating design and content task
• Managing project timelines and creative assets library
• Assisting Brand Manager and Sales Team with marketing initiatives and effective visuals
• Overseeing the creative executions of sponsorship and demo events
• Enhancing brand presence on-site
• Supervising social media
• Non-major photography and videography shoots
• Internal and External Communication
• Developing yearly branding refreshes in line with YONEX Brand guidelines
• Copy-writing across all digital platforms and contents
• Conducting market research and stay updated on industry trends to identify content opportunities

And will require the undertaking out of hours work when appropriate.

THE CANDIDATE

This position requires a creative mindset, communication and graphic design skills. It is essential that you have a good understanding of Yonex and its community. In addition, branding, typography, advertising experience, and passion for sports will be greatly considered.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong understanding of Design Principles
• Visual communication skills
• Adobe's creative software skills
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads
• A positive learning mindset
• Excellent people, communication (both written and verbal) & presentation skills
• A high level of planning and analytical skills
• The ability to get involved in a dynamic team environment
• Current driver's licence and vehicle
