Transforming youth mental health services in South Western Sydney presents a unique opportunity for a skilled Staff Specialist.

The role involves working across Headspace centres in collaboration with Local Health District services and primary care providers, focusing on early access to mental health care, effective transitions between services, and bridging the gap between primary care and specialist services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care
  • Work collaboratively with other staff and practitioners in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Participate in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level

This position offers a chance to contribute to service development, regional integration, and innovative care models that improve the mental health and wellbeing of young people in South Western Sydney.

Requirements:
  • Current medical practitioner registration or eligibility with the Medical Board of Australia
  • High standard of clinical practice and ability to adapt to contemporary evidence-based best practice
