This position offers a rewarding opportunity to join a multidisciplinary youth mental health team, working collaboratively to provide innovative and best practice care to children and adolescents aged 12-25 years.

The role involves providing assessments and evidence-based psychological interventions to young people with a range of mental health conditions. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care, including assessments, intervention services and care coordination.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing short- to medium-term individual and group treatment protocols for young people with severe and complex mental health needs. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to engage with young people and establish strong therapeutic alliances.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assessments and evidence-based psychological interventions to young people with a range of mental health conditions.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care, including assessments, intervention services and care coordination.
  • Develop and implement short- to medium-term individual and group treatment protocols for young people with severe and complex mental health needs.
  • Engage with young people to establish strong therapeutic alliances and ensure engagement across services.

To be successful in this role, you will require strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also need to have experience in evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention, as well as the ability to design and implement treatment protocols.

Requirements
  • Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, with endorsement in Clinical Psychology.
  • A minimum two-year full-time equivalent APAC-accredited Master or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology.
  • Demonstrated experience in evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention and evaluation of clinical outcomes for young people with severe and complex mental health needs.
  • Strong skills in engagement and therapeutic alliance.
  • Ability to design and implement short- to medium-term individual and group treatment protocols for youth with complex mental health needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to provide clinical supervision and to guide others in service delivery excellence.
