Job Description

A Staff Specialist in Youth Mental Health is required to deliver clinical management and treatment of patients across multiple centres.

  • Provide high-quality clinical services under clinical privileges granted by the Chief Executive.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to service development, regional integration, and innovative care models for young people with severe mental health needs.
  • Support early access to mental health care and transitions between youth services as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current medical practitioner registration with the Medical Board of Australia and specialist recognition.
  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice and adaptability based on evidence-based best practice.
  • Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and continuing professional development.
  • Experience in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
