Youth Mental Health Advocate

This position is available within a dynamic and innovative recovery-focused youth organisation. The ideal candidate will work closely with our team to create partnerships with local organisations and members of the community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and support initiatives to encourage community response to the health needs of young people in the region.
- Support the management of a social media and web-based presence for our organisation.
- Organise engaging community events relevant to Youth Mental Health.
- Drive marketing campaigns and new initiatives from our organisation.
- Deliver training sessions on mental health for young people, such as bullying, peer pressure, alcohol and other drug use, and youth culture.
- Establish close partnerships with schools and other referral sources such as youth organisations, sports clubs, and local agencies.
- Work strategically with partner organisations to expand the services we can deliver.
- Qualifications in Human Services or professional qualifications in project management, human resources, and/or community engagement.
- Relevant experience with working in youth health and knowledge of the impact of mental health in the community.
- Demonstrated experience in community engagement, health promotion, public health behavioural/social sciences, communications, marketing education or youth work.
- Experience in providing education and training to groups of service providers, families and young people.
- Excellent computer skills, including website management, social media, and publishing software.
- A valid and current driver's license.
