Family Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide support to families and carers of individuals living with mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills gained from personal experience as a family member or carer.
  • Offer solution-focused, peer-led support to individuals and groups.
  • Prioritize collaboration with local mental health services and community organizations to identify those requiring early support.
Requirements:
  • Desirable but not required: Completion of Intentional Peer Support Core and/or Advanced Training, or Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work.
  • A personal connection as a family member, carer, or supporter of someone with mental ill-health is essential.
  • Experience in utilizing personal expertise in a dedicated Family/Carer role is highly valued.
