Transport Operations Manager

The OpportunityWe are seeking a Transport Supervisor to join our team at Erskine Park, NSW. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of goods across the Sydney basin. Your primary responsibility will be to plan and manage labour resources to meet service level targets, while also championing safety and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the dispatch of trucks, drivers, and shipments to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups.
- Monitor services for on-time delivery and proactively collaborate with customers to meet targeted delivery windows.
- Ensure all drivers and operational staff follow OHS and site safety requirements.
- Promote a customer-first mindset and ensure the daily operation is maximising profitability.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
- Previous experience within a similar role within the transport/logistics industry.
- A positive attitude and appetite to learn.
- Demonstrated experience with operations, CoR, and fatigue management desirable but not essential.
- An analytical mindset – strong ability to problem solve.
- Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal.
- Computer literacy skills – MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines within a time-pressured environment.
