Job Description

The Senior Operations Director will support the Engineering Site Leader in maintaining a rhythm of the business (RoB) that drives execution of core business priorities and encourages best practice sharing among development centers.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual that is willing to take on any challenges the day brings with a high level of customer service and professionalism—someone who cares deeply about creating a vibrant and inclusive work environment for all.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Engineering Site Leader in maintaining a rhythm of the business (RoB) that drives execution of core business priorities and encourages best practice sharing among development centers.
  • Partner with corporate communications and local teams to deliver on an internal communication (meetings, presentations, milestones, etc.) and external communication (university engagement, customer, partner, PR, etc.) strategy that reinforces Microsoft's values, brand, and presence in the community.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to deliver programming that shapes a positive, inclusive, and innovative culture at our engineering and research centers.
  • Maintain relationships with peers outside the team to ensure cross-group strong collaboration.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field AND 6+ years of experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional influence and collaboration skills. Ability to get things done working collaboratively across a highly matrixed organization.
  • An aptitude to work independently without significant oversight or instruction to achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail under deadline pressure.
