Job Description

As an Operational Programme Manager, you will oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives to drive business outcomes.

- Provide high-level advice on operational implications of policy and legislative changes, suggesting improvements as needed.
- Support senior management with delivery of assigned operational outcomes and targets, contributing to periodic review of operational procedures and processes.
- Supervise staff by setting work priorities, allocating resources, and ensuring timely delivery of required outputs. Train staff in standard operating procedures and policies, ensuring adherence and updates.
- Allocate work assignments to staff, track progress, write progress reports, and troubleshoot daily issues. Ensure staff have access to necessary procedures and resources, managing them effectively.
- Collaborate with senior management to manage operational costs strategically and sustainably.
- Offer recommendations to senior management, particularly suggestions aimed at improving business outcomes.
- Liaise and coordinate within and across work units, representing the operational programme and informing other staff's work.
- Provide oversight or management of a discrete organisational unit, offering administrative support to the operational programme under limited direction.
- Prepare documentation and reports to brief senior management, providing high-quality information for informed decision-making.
- Negotiate with clients or interested parties within set parameters decided by senior management.
- Analyse, interpret, or evaluate information for staff or clients' guidance, undertaking research in technical matters as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- A relevant qualification from a recognised tertiary institution would be highly regarded.
