About the RoleAs a System Development Engineer, you will work on real-world problems on a global scale, own your systems end-to-end, and influence the direction of our technology that impacts hundreds of millions of customers worldwide. You will be responsible for designing and delivering technology solutions that solve difficult business problems, identifying and solving ambiguous problems, and working autonomously with direction from peers and your manager.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver technology solutions that solve complex business problems
- Identify and solve ambiguous problems, architectural deficiencies, or areas where your team's systems hinder the innovation of other teams
- Work autonomously with direction from peers and your manager
- Consider the legacy of the systems you build with your team and how they will scale and evolve over time
- Make appropriate trade-offs and re-use or extend prior work where possible
- Thoroughly test your work
- Consistently write clear, accurate, and concise documentation for your own solutions and improve your team's existing documentation
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes (preferred)
