Job Title: Maritime Security Specialist

As a Maritime Security Specialist, you will be responsible for enforcing maritime security protocols and ensuring the safety of port zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Access Control: Manage access to port zones in accordance with maritime regulations and approved security protocols.
  • Patrolling & Surveillance: Conduct internal and external patrols to ensure surveillance of the port's perimeter, entry gates, and high-security areas.
  • Incident Response: Respond promptly to any security incidents, fire alarms, or emergency situations.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Provide detailed reports on security incidents and site activities.
  • Security Systems Management: Utilize access control systems, CCTV, and visitor management tools to maintain security and monitor site activities.
  • Traffic Control: Manage pedestrian and vehicle traffic, ensuring proper access at gates and parking areas.
  • Customer Service: Ensure exceptional service standards while maintaining security protocols.
  • Emergency Response: Provide first aid and respond to medical emergencies and other urgent incidents as required.
  • Compliance & Safety: Enforce health and safety standards and comply with maritime security regulations.

Requirements:

  • Certificate II in Security Operations.
  • Valid VIC Security License.
  • Current MSIC/Ability to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
  • Occupational First Aid - Level 3.
  • Current Valid driving license.
