Child Wellbeing Specialist

This position plays a key role in enhancing the delivery of healthcare services within the Southern NSW Local Health District. As a Child Wellbeing Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve systems that support LHD services in addressing child safety, welfare, and wellbeing concerns.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement education programs for staff to enhance their capacity in responding to vulnerable children's needs and those of their families.
- Provide expert consultation on trauma-informed service delivery settings and lead the implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Build partnerships with stakeholders to optimize health outcomes for vulnerable populations.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work or Counselling.
- High-level understanding of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child protection principles and practices.
- Extensive experience in providing specialist consultation in trauma-informed settings and leading the implementation of evidence-based practice.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, and demonstrate an ability to build partnerships with key stakeholders.
