About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Facilitator to join our team at the Majarlin Kimberley Centre for Remote Health. As a key member of our nursing and midwifery team, you will play a vital role in supporting and educating nursing and/or midwifery students, graduates, and preceptors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide briefing sessions, mentor orientation/training sessions, and actively facilitate relevant learning opportunities for nursing staff.
  • Offer additional academic support and tutoring, including assisting with teaching in clinical block weeks.
  • Assist students and graduates in developing their communication, problem-solving, clinical, and professional skills.
  • Evaluate, monitor, and manage student assessment and performance, responding positively to immediate concerns and needs of students and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain standards and expectations of students' university and relevant healthcare provider, documenting all relevant information regarding student assessment, incident reports, or issues related to clinical placement.
  • Collaborate with relevant clinical nurse education teams to support and educate nursing and midwifery students and graduates.
  • Scope new clinical placement opportunities for nursing and midwifery students.
  • Participate in developing and delivering Majarlin's multidisciplinary education and support programs and networking opportunities for students and health professionals throughout the Kimberley.
  • Contribute to other relevant academic and operational activities within the department as designated by Majarlin leadership.
