Job Overview

This role is part of the Student Affairs team, focusing on student complaints and appeals.

  • Advisory services to the University community
  • Complaints resolution in relation to student matters

The position requires a high degree of knowledge and sensitivity in interpreting University policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide advice and support on organisational policies and procedures
  2. Review and assess reported incidents concerning student behaviour
  3. Work with stakeholders to address matters and support misconduct referrals under the Student Misconduct Policy
  4. Prepare annual and ad hoc reports, making recommendations on identified issues to improve student outcomes

Knowledge of University policies and procedures relating to student matters is essential for success in this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Substantial experience in providing advice and support on organisational policies and procedures
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills, with experience in preparing reports
  • Ability to analyse data, determine trends, and make recommendations to address identified gaps and risks
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, with experience in coordinating key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in responding professionally to complex customer requests and managing conflict
