Mens Behaviour Change Program Facilitator

The Mens Behaviour Change Program is a culturally safe program designed to address family violence and promote responsible relationships among men. With its unique approach, the program aims to empower individuals to take responsibility for their actions and work towards positive change.

This role involves facilitating a cultural safe group program for Mandarin speaking clients, conducting intake assessments, individual treatment readiness counselling, and exit interviews with men who complete the program. Additionally, the facilitator will assist in developing and maintaining quality assurance systems to monitor service delivery and targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-facilitate a cultural safe MBCP group program for Mandarin speaking clients.
  • Provide intake assessments, individual treatment readiness counselling, and exit interviews with men who complete the program.
  • Conduct individual mid-program reviews and exit interviews with male participants of MBCP.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining quality assurance systems to monitor service delivery and targets.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience working with men who use violence.
  • Group facilitation experience preferred.
  • Graduate Certificate in Client Assessment and Case Management is beneficial.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of the Children and Young Persons Act 2005 and child protection policies.
