Family Support Practitioner Job Opportunity

  • About the Role:
  • We are seeking a Family Support Practitioner to join our team. As a Family Support Practitioner, you will work closely with families in their homes and communities to provide intensive family support tailored to the needs of children, young people, and their families.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping families reach their full potential and be able to implement evidence-based interventions, including Safe and Together, Parents under Pressure, and Circle of Security frameworks.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with families in their homes and communities to provide practical life skills coaching and parenting strategies.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions to improve safety and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Support families to access community resources, education, and employment pathways.
  • Collaborate with Child Safety and other government and community stakeholders to deliver wrap-around support.
  • Complete documentation and case notes in line with legislative and organisational requirements.

  • You have a strong understanding of community services and youth/social work principles.
  • You have experience working with young people/children and in related fields.
  • You have a relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Certificate IV in Community Services, Youth/Social Work, etc.
