Job Title: Behaviour Support Team Leader

Are you a skilled and experienced leader looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with complex needs? We are seeking an exceptional Behaviour Support Team Leader to join our team. In this key role, you will lead a team of behaviour support practitioners to deliver high-quality services that empower people living with difference.

About the Role:
  • Lead and manage a team of behaviour support practitioners to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery to clients.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of client-specific behaviour support plans that promote positive behaviours and enhance quality of life.
  • Provide expert guidance, coaching and mentoring to team members to build their skills and capabilities.
  • Involvement in leadership and governance decisions related to the behaviour support sector.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review client support strategies.
  • E nsure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, occupational therapy or a related allied health discipline.
  • Extensive experience (minimum 2 years) in providing positive behaviour support to people with complex needs.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement practical behaviour support strategies.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards governing positive behaviour support.
