Excavation and Haulage Operations Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Excavation and Haulage Operations Manager to join our mine complex. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for coordinating real-time load and haul activities to maximise fleet utilisation and ensure production targets are met.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Real-Time Load and Haul Activities: Operate and monitor real-time systems (FMS Hexagon MineOps, SCADA, load & haul) to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Oversee Production Activities: Supervise excavators, trucks, and dozers to maintain optimal productivity levels.
  • Maintain Equipment Health: Monitor equipment health and respond swiftly to alerts or faults to prevent downtime.
  • Support Incident Response: Collaborate with incident response teams to follow emergency protocols and mitigate risks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Tech Services, and CHPP teams to ensure seamless operations.

You will bring strong communication skills, situational awareness, and attention to detail. Experience in open cut mining operations and safety procedures is essential, along with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Generic Coal (Surface) Induction (S11): Demonstrated knowledge of coal surface induction and related regulations.
  • Emergency Response Experience: Proven experience in responding to emergencies and managing incidents.
  • Minimum 2 Years' Experience: A minimum of two years' experience in open cut mining operations and safety procedures.
  • Autonomy and Teamwork: Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong Multitasking Skills: Excellent multitasking skills with strong communication abilities.

This role offers a 7 days on 7 days off roster, giving you the ideal balance of work and lifestyle. Choose from DIDO or FIFO options, with access to modern camp facilities including meals, gym, and recreation.
