Job Role Overview

The Injury Management Specialist position provides expert clinical and injury management support to assess personal injury claims for suitable treatment and rehabilitation needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review claim files and provide subject matter expertise to claims handlers, including interpreting medical reports and determining rehabilitation and treatment requirements.
  • Prepare professional written and verbal advice on suitable treatment and rehabilitation services and recommendations for future management.
  • Provide consistent injury management expertise to ensure ongoing quality decisions and input into claims strategy.
  • Share knowledge, advise, and coach others to develop injury management capabilities and foster a high-performing team environment.
  • Support the team leader to identify development opportunities and trends to improve individual and team performance and claim outcomes.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Allied Health related discipline is mandatory.
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience (including nursing).
  • Customer service experience.
  • Desirable: Minimum 2 years Workers Compensation experience.
  • Desirable: Minimum 2 years Occupational Rehabilitation experience.
  • Ability to identify developmental needs of team members and recommend training activities to achieve positive outcomes.
