Senior Corporate Broker Opportunity

About the Role

M Marsh Pty Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Senior Corporate Broker to join our Corporate and Commercial team in Adelaide. As a Senior Corporate Broker, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key mid-market accounts, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the company's profit objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring high-quality customer service is provided to all clients
  • Contribute to the company's profit objectives through effective management and attainment of revenue and expense budgets
  • Lead, plan, and implement clear and effective renewal and broking strategies
  • Develop additional business from existing portfolio
  • Work with leadership to prepare, manage, implement, and achieve state business plans, strategies, and goals
  • Meet and exceed service standards agreed in client service agreements
  • Maximise team and account profitability through efficient work practices, adequate client billing, and sensible expense control
  • Provide clear and accurate delegation of key tasks to junior broking staff and supporting operations teams
  • Consistently meet and exceed revenue, expense, and trading profit budgets
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with decision-makers within your portfolio of clients

Requirements

  • Significant experience managing a portfolio of mid-large Corporate clients, creating and converting new business and growth opportunities
  • Extensive technical skills on key General Insurance classes, including Industrial Special Risks, General Liability, Motor Fleet, Marine, and Accident & Health lines
  • Strong business acumen, including a well-rounded knowledge of general business functions, finance, management, and risk
  • Excellent working relationships with insurers and underwriting partners
  • Exceptional communication, influencing/selling, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of client organisations, including the 'C' Suite, and internal Marsh stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills in prioritising work, multi-tasking, and consistently meeting deadlines
