Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Broker

Marsh is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic broker to join our Corporate and Commercial team in Adelaide. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and developing client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor, and pursuing new business development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of key mid-market accounts, ensuring exceptional customer service and retention
  • Contribute to the company's profit objectives through effective revenue and expense management
  • Develop and implement clear renewal and broking strategies to meet client expectations
  • Actively develop additional business from existing portfolio
  • Work with leadership to prepare and implement state business plans and strategies
  • Meet and exceed service standards agreed in client service agreements
  • Maximise team and account profitability through efficient work practices and expense control
  • Provide clear delegation of key tasks to junior broking staff and supporting operations teams
  • Consistently meet and exceed revenue, expense, and trading profit budgets
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with decision-makers within your portfolio of clients

Requirements:

  • Significant experience managing mid-large corporate clients, creating and converting new business opportunities
  • Extensive technical skills on key general insurance classes, including industrial special risks, general liability, motor fleet, marine, and accident and health lines
  • Strong business acumen, including a well-rounded knowledge of general business functions, finance, management, and risk
  • Excellent communication, influencing, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of client organisations and internal stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills, prioritising work, multi-tasking, and consistently meeting deadlines
