Technical Documentation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will create, coordinate, and maintain high-quality technical documentation to support operations and manufacturing engineering.

The role requires collaboration with subject matter experts, engineers, planners, and UK-based counterparts to develop documentation that supports build sequencing, work instructions, and operational procedures.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to support production and build readiness
  • Collaborate with SMEs and engineers to gather and validate technical content
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with engineering and production requirements
  • Work with planners and UK-based counterparts to support build sequencing and manufacturing readiness
  • Ensure documentation complies with program standards and version control protocols
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of documentation processes and tools

This role requires strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documentation streams.

About You
  • Proven experience in technical writing or authoring within a complex engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of engineering and production documentation standards
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering data
  • Proficiency in document management systems and authoring tools (e.g. Adobe FrameMaker, MS Word, XML-based tools)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Candidates must hold a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
