Job Summary:

The key role of this position is to develop and implement strategic merchandise planning initiatives that align with business objectives. This involves creating and maintaining accurate sales forecasts, optimizing stock levels in stores, and ensuring effective warehouse inventory management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create weekly store/product level allocations based on sales trend analysis, customer requirements, and internal warehouse constraints.
  • Design and implement warehouse inventory purchasing plans based on future sales forecasts, adjusting for forecast changes to ensure optimal stock balances.
  • Review product sales and stock performance, recommending actions to capitalize on opportunities and achieve financial targets.
  • Achieve critical financial objectives including sales, stock turn, sell-through, and margin.
  • Maintain strong communication with customers to foster a solid business relationship.
  • Oversight of product maintenance and data accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Merchandise Planning within a Retail or Wholesale environment.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Excel-based allocations.
  • Prior experience in a Retail or FCMG store level role, highly desired.
  • Prior experience in Allocations Management, highly desired.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience in analyzing store performances.
  • Intermediate or higher knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
  • Previous experience with Business Intelligence (BI) or similar reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to communicate numerical data in a clear, concise manner.
  • High level of problem-solving abilities, with resilience when common problems re-appear.
