SENIOR MERCHANDISE PLANNER | BRAS N THINGS | PYRMONT

Exciting Senior Planner role offering the opportunity to:

  • Influence the broader business and key decision making
  • Lead a small team to provide insights, offer ideas and identify & deliver profitable outcomes for the business
  • Support Buying by providing astute reporting & analysis to improve productivity at all levels
  • Optimise Return on Investment through inventory management

Responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to:

  • Financial & Merchandise Planning - Develop seasonal and annual sales, margin, and inventory plans to drive commercial outcomes.
    • Range & OTB Strategy - Partner with Buying to shape balanced, customer-focused ranges by category and price architecture.
    • In-Season Trading - Monitor performance weekly, reforecast sales and stock, and take action to maximise sell-through and profitability.
    • Stock Management - Ensure optimal stock levels across channels, manage allocations, and support replenishment strategies.
    • Reporting & Insights - Provide clear, actionable reporting and commercial insights to inform decisions and influence future range development through seasonal reviews.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with Buying, Marketing, Supply, and Retail.
    • Customer & Market Awareness - Use customer insights and market trends to guide planning decisions and keep the range relevant and competitive.
    • Leadership & Mentoring - Guide and develop junior team members, and contribute to a high-performing, commercially driven team culture.

What experience do I have?

  • Proven track record in Planning and minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role (Preferred medium-large organisation with established systems, processes and team structures)
  • Ability to work in an agile, high-pace and changing environment, react appropriately and efficiently, and identify solutions
  • Able to work collaboratively, take on feedback and switch gears seamlessly
  • Confident and effective communication skills
  • Customer focused, always working with the customer in mind
  • Technical aptitude - ability to grasp technical concepts and details, strong Excel skills, have experience with Merchandise Planning software.
