Job Opportunity:
We have 2 casual positions available at our Greenslopes location. The roles come with competitive pay based on SCHADS Level 3, plus Super.

About the Role:
This position involves providing quality support and services to young people living in residential services. You will work collaboratively with them to aid in their recovery, using client-focused and community-oriented approaches.
You will be required to provide support that is sensitive, utilising effective listening, empathy, and communication skills. This includes assisting young people with mental health issues to develop and maintain relationships, improving daily living skills, and mentoring them to build positive social skills.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for encouraging healthy living habits and educating young people on emotional well-being. A Cert IV in Mental Health, Community Services, or related discipline is required. Experience working with young people experiencing mental health issues is essential.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum Cert IV in Mental Health, Community Services, or related discipline;
- Experience working with young people experiencing mental health issues;
- Demonstrated capacity to relate to young people, their families/carers, and other stakeholders with dignity and respect;
- Ability to assess risk and follow relevant protocols to manage crisis situations calmly and effectively;
- Demonstrated and effective listening and communication skills in both written and verbal formats;
- Understanding of and commitment to the principles of duty of care, and rights to privacy and confidentiality;
- Ability to help program participants link in with other relevant community resources and to promote the rights, responsibilities, and recovery of young people;
