- Casual position with consistent hours, on-going work & routine rosters
- 24-hour care model, 8-hour shifts, (morning, afternoon & overnight)

Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best fit Youth Workers to Youth Service Organisations across Australia.

We have casual, residential Youth Worker roles available across
***the Central Coast including,
**Hamlyn Terrace, Watanobbi, Woongarah & Woy Woy.**

**Youth Workers will be required to**:

- Deliver high quality care and support within a 24-hour residential setting to children and young people who are unable to live with their families, kinship carers or foster carers.
- Be able to work a range of shifts which may include: day shifts - from 0600, afternoon & sleepovers shifts - from 1400 - 0930 next day, actives night shifts - from 2200/2300/midnight.
- Respond to the young person's emotional and functional needs and the development of their personal skills.
- Work within a team to provide trauma informed & therapeutic care to young people who present complex needs due to past trauma and abuse.
- Provide a safe and home environment while supporting young people to achieve their goals.
- Assist with administrative requirements and household duties.

**What you need**:

- A minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or a recognised tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Community Services or a related qualification (or willing to enroll)
- Australian driver's license
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR
- Working with Children Check (paid employee status)
- National police check (current)
- Have a reliable car with registration
- Reliable smart phone with data
- Ability to work a combination of morning, afternoon and over night shifts (active and/or sleepover shifts)
- Previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs in an out of home care setting
